Babak Bina
Co-Founder
Babak Bina is a co-founder of BCB3 and a seasoned entrepreneur in the hospitality industry. In 1989, he established BiNA Family Hospitality which currently operates jm Curley, Bogie’s Place and The Wig Shop. Building on his family's legacy of real estate development. Forced to immigrate to Boston during the 1979 Iranian revolution, Babak's journey in the culinary world began humbly in 1981 as a dishwasher at a local Italian pizzeria/restaurant in Brookline, MA. Throughout high school and university in Boston, he continued to cultivate his passion for the restaurant industry.
In addition to his accomplishments in hospitality, Babak is a dedicated residential and commercial real estate developer. He played a pivotal role in the redevelopment of the South End in the early 90s, working closely with Mayor Menino and his administration. Committed to community service, Babak has served on several BRA/Mayoral Task Forces, supported the arts in Boston, and contributed to various boards such as the Downtown BID. He has also established several non-profit initiatives, including BINA Farm Center, South End Alliance, Taste of the South End, Taste of Beacon Hill, and Beacon Hill Scholarship.
Babak's diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to philanthropy have made a lasting impact on the Boston community. Babak and his wife Coryn live in Boston and have two adult sons.
